CC-CleanTech is pleased to present CREPS: the Coastal Restoration and Energy Production System. Coastal communities around the world, including those in Southeast Louisiana, face the daunting task of wetlands restoration. Equally formidable are the realities of a future based on fossil fuel energy. CREPS is an innovative, practical approach that provides a solution to both issues.

Environmental water remediation is currently a $6 billion per year industry with 5,000 to 12,000 newly discovered remediation sites per year. As a for-profit spinout of Tulane University, NanoFex is positioned to address this demand by manufacturing patented carbon microspheres with nanoscale iron. These microspheres are an affordable, effective product for remediating a common but extremely dangerous waste product. NanoFex is developing the technology initially for use in the environmental remediation industry where the particles have potential to revolutionize the remediation of volatile organic compounds. The company will be incubated at the New Orleans BioInnovation Center.
