Food is hot. Millions in investment dollars continue to flow to on-trend concepts. The major food companies, pained by lost market share to upstarts, create venture funds and incubators, desperate to get in on what’s next. To find that, they come to Boulder.
This packed session will be told from the differing perspective of two players in the Boulder natural food (& product) scene: One a newcomer taking an organic peanut butter national, the other, a veteran of the Boulder natural food and products scene. Robbie Vitrano, Idea Village co-founder, NOLA native and ceo of Good Spread, a company launched from a non-profit using peanut butter to eradicate severe malnutrition, and Boulder veteran, serial entrepreneur, and investor Jim Moscou with take turns as interviewer & interviewee, sharing their experience of what makes Boulder tick, the powerful integration of purpose-driven business and multi-million dollar returns, and how New Orleans can leverage its international food reputation and heritage to get a piece of the (exploding food industry) pie.
As lagniappe they’ll illuminate the powerfully curious symbiosis between Boulder and NOLA (BONO?).
