The Civic Innovation Summit provides a great opportunity to continue conversations around the future of New Orleans in the lead up to the city’s Tricentennial in 2018. This event will call specifically on the private sector to add perspective & partner with the public sector to address three of the most significant risks to the future of New Orleans:

  • Resilience – our future depends upon our ability to address the environmental challenges New Orleans faces by restoring our coast and living with water

  • Equity – our future depends on our ability to ensure that all New Orleanians are able to fully participate in the city’s growth

  • Violence Reduction – our future depends upon our ability to create freedom & security for all New Orleanians

The event will feature opening remarks from Mayor Landrieu followed by three short panels that include local leaders in the public, private, and philanthropic sectors on each of the risk areas. After the panels, attendees will participate in a facilitated discussion that asks audience members to identify opportunities to contribute to solutions.
