Culture
Tech

Culture Tech is an emerging movement redefining the relationship between consumers of culture and creators of culture. From music to film, gaming, Web3, and more, technology is pushing the boundaries of every art form in innovative ways. New Orleans’ vibrant cultural communities have the opportunity to lead and build the infrastructure for the next generation of Culture Tech, further defining the space for decades to come.

Climate
Tech

#ClimateTech is essential for humanity to win. Few communities around the world are better positioned than New Orleans and the Gulf Coast - or “Third Coast” - to address everything from recovery to resiliency to full-scale energy transition. By using our prime positioning to lead in developing, deploying, and scaling solutions, we can drive innovation through technology to unleash global transformation and #ClimateSolutions at scale.

Health
Innovation

Healthcare in the 21st century continues to push the boundaries of what earlier generations would have ever thought possible. From the development of new medical technologies, to powerful data and analytics that can promote wellness and drive better outcomes, the healthcare sector is constantly reinventing itself to improve and advance patient care. The greater New Orleans region is home to multiple rapidly growing state-of-the-art medical centers, leading research universities, and a wealth of startups that collectively are moving healthcare innovations from concept to commercialization across numerous areas of wellness. As healthcare innovation continues to evolve around the globe, how will the Gulf Coast be part of shaping a healthier future for all?

Startups for Impact

Blended business models are on the rise, enabling for-profit companies to account for their social and environmental impact. From B corporations to impact investing to social entrepreneurship, “impact entrepreneurs” look to business as a force for good to tackle some of humanity’s greatest problems. Given New Orleans’ thriving non-profit sector and robust startup ecosystem, Gulf Coast innovators are primed to be part of a global movement that is thinking beyond traditional structures to work at the intersection of people, planet, and profit.

Future of Local Business

Local businesses are the heartbeat of place-based economies and the gateway to entrepreneurship for diverse communities everywhere. Leaders driving small business growth are invited to come together at NOEW to share best practices, lessons learned, and new ideas. Join us as we discuss the rapid integration of technology and industry trends that will ultimately shape the future of local business.

Investing in Innovation

Investing and entrepreneurship go together like crawfish and beer. From Angel to Venture, investors at all stages are often the first to notice industry trends and set the pace for capital infusions into growing companies. This track will look through the lens of managing capital, building portfolios, and working with founders to deliver access to capital for diverse companies at all stages.

SaaSy Entrepreneurs

Software as a Service (SaaS) businesses are considered by many to be one of the hottest areas of entrepreneurship for 2023. Defined by the ability to solve niche problems with intuitive technical solutions, this $166 billion dollar market tends to attract founders who have their own way of doing things – making them extra SaaSy. From global players such as PayPal and AirBnb to New Orleans-based leaders such as Levelset and Lucid, SaaSy Entrepreneurs are using the internet to innovate a whole new category of products – and our lives tend to be the better for it.

EATrepreneurs

Calling all foodies! There’s no place like New Orleans to experience world-class food, and the #EATrepreneur track throughout NOEW 2023 won’t disappoint. Food entrepreneurs ranging from restaurateurs to Consumer Packaged Good (CPG) companies will showcase their best-in-class offerings (with plenty of opportunities to taste!) alongside moments on the stage to discuss the unique aspects of running and scaling food-based businesses. EATrepreneurs will also cover current industry trends including technology, post-COVID business practices, moving products from agriculture to supply chains, and more. Start getting hungry.
